This year’s sponsorship at BUILDEX Vancouver marked a significant milestone for A Few Good Lads. It was our first year being a BuildEx Vancouver Platinum sponsor, with each passing year, our commitment to advancing the construction industry and supporting the growth of skilled labour has only strengthened. The decision to expand our presence by introducing a candidate board was born out of our dedication to creating connections between employers and top-tier talent.BuildEx Vancouver 2024

The candidate board served as a powerful tool for attendees, providing access to a curated selection of candidates from our extensive network. By incorporating both international and domestic talent, we aimed to address the growing demand for skilled workers while promoting diversity and inclusion within the workforce. From trades to project management, the candidate board covered a wide range of roles to cater to the diverse needs of our industry partners. We wanted to connect skilled trades and professionals with Canadian businesses in the construction sector. Our mission is to find the international and domestic best talent who not only have the right skills but also a passion for the industry. Learn more about how we support our workers by developing their skillsets on our On-Demand Labour Page.

Moreover, our sponsorship of the CEO breakfast offered a platform for industry leaders to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of construction. From emerging technologies to sustainable practices, the breakfast session provided invaluable insights into the trends shaping the industry landscape. As advocates for continuous learning and innovation, we believe in the importance of fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals.

The unveiling of the “Building Blocks” bar was a highlight of the event, symbolising our commitment to creativity and craftsmanship. Collaborating with Woolsey Design Studios allowed us to merge artistic vision with practicality, resulting in a visually stunning and functional centrepiece for the event. The bar’s design, inspired by nature’s building blocks, serves as a testament to the ingenuity and adaptability of our workforce.

The bar was built by a few of our lads who joined our workforce with little industry experience, but have since gained valuable skills through our safety and workforce training programs. We were delighted to have the lads show off their new skills for everyone to see and we also want to extend a big thank you to the lads at A Few Good Lads Moving for successfully delivering everything to the venue.

In conclusion, our participation in BUILDEX Vancouver 2024 exemplifies our ongoing dedication to driving positive change within the construction industry. Through initiatives such as the candidate board and the “Building Blocks” bar, we aim to inspire innovation, foster talent development, and create lasting impact in the communities we serve. We look forward to continuing our journey of growth and collaboration as we strive towards a brighter future for the construction industry.
